The predecessor to the current “Rig”:

The predecessor to the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado “High Country” K1500 ‘crew cab’ and the Starcraft Launch 24RLS was the 2007 GMC Sierra SLT K1500 ‘extended cab’ and the beloved T@B T16Q teardrop trailer.

The “GMC” and the “T@B” were our main road trip rig for 8 years beginning in 2008. The maiden trip took us to visit Utah’s National Parks. Beginning near Moab with Arches NP, we then visited Canyonlands NP, Capitol Reef NP, Grand Staircase-Escalante NM, Bryce Canyon NP and Zion NP.

In July of 2009 we headed towards the Washington coast, stopping for a couple of days in Glacier NP.

In August of 2010 we spent a couple of days at Minnesota’s Tettegouche SP, then in September to Petrified Forest NP, Grand Canyon NP and Monument Valley in Arizona and then Canyonlands NP, Arches NP and Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah.

In August of 2012 we returned to Glacier NP. In July 2014, another trip to the Washington state and to Wisconsin’s Big Bay State Park (Madeline Island) in August.

Our final trip with the GMC/T@B rig was in October of 2015 when we again visited Montana and Glacier NP and Paws Up.
